Getting Started
After logging into your MetaTrader 5 account, you'll find the main navigation bar at the bottom of the app. From here, you can access your watchlist, charts, trading positions, history, settings, and account information.
For this guide, we'll mainly focus on the Quotes, Trade, History, and Settings sections.
Finding Market
Open the Quotes tab in the bottom navigation. This section displays all available trading instruments currently added to your watchlist.
To add a new market, tap the search icon in the top right corner and search for the asset you want to tradeโfor example XAU/USD. Once selected, the market will automatically appear in your watchlist.
Opening the Chart
Tap on any asset in your watchlist to open the available options. You'll see several choices, including Trade, Chart, Details, Statistics, and Cancel.
Select Chart to open the live price chart. Here you can analyze market movements, monitor price action, and view any open positions directly on the chart, including your entry price, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels.
Trading Window
To place a trade, tap the asset again and select Trade.
The trading window contains everything required to execute an order. At the top, you'll find the available order types, followed by your position size, Stop Loss, Take Profit, and the Buy and Sell execution buttons.
